A notification (通知) from your favorite news app appears on your screen. You open it, and some pictures scroll (滚动) automatically to present you with the latest news. This kind of content is written and produced by people called content operators.
你一定有过这样的体验：喜欢的APP推送了一条通知，点开就能看到图文并茂的新闻——这类信息是“内容运营”编辑推送的。
Xu Zhaoqi, 24, works as a content operator at an internet company. A content operator’s job varies according to the different projects they are tasked with. Xu is responsible for evaluating (评估) and editing news articles. She chooses which news articles users see when they open the app or the stories on the top trending (热门的) list.
24岁的徐兆琪在一家互联网公司做内容运营。据她说，内容运营的具体工作因他们所负责的项目而略有不同。用户打开APP时弹出的文章是哪篇、哪些新闻能上热搜榜单，这些都由徐兆琪负责。
“Being a content operator, the first thing you need to consider is what the target users are interested in,” Xu said.
“作为一个内容运营，目标用户的兴趣是你最应该去思考的。”徐兆琪说。
Xu also mentioned that there were several career (职业) paths related to the job. One possible promotion is joining the management team to direct fellow operators. Since being a content operator allows a deep insight (洞察) into a particular area, starting up her own business is also a possibility.
